From the initial consultation through to the procedure Dr Fox showed great care and attention, answering any questions I had in detail. He explained clearly what would be involved in the ablation and was able to simplify how a successful procedure would resolve my symptoms of a SVT.
Although I was anxious on the day, he also took the time to reassure me beforehand which gave me great confidence.
The procedure itself was a far easier experience than I had imagined and I am grateful to Dr Fox and his team as it was expertly carried out with a successful outcome.

Dr Fox was friendly, approachable and professional at all times, answering my questions clearly and in easily understandable terms. He carried out a pulmonary vein ablation to treat my atrial fibrillation and the operation has been successful with no AF attacks or palpitations in the 8 months since the operation. Dr David Fox is a highly experienced cardiologist/electrophysiologist in Manchester and has been a consultant for over 10 years.
He spent a period of his training at one of the worlds premier heart rhythm institutes (University of Western Ontario, Canada) working with pioneering cardiologist Professor George J Klein, the author of over 500 medical publications.
Dr Fox specialises in the treatment of all heart rhythm disorders and carries out over 220 ablation procedures annually and has a particular interest in atrial fibrillation ablation (pulmonary vein isolation). He also is fully trained in all aspects of pacemaker/ICD implantation.
He is the lead for cardiac rhythm services at Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester and runs the annual audit program to ensure high levels of safety in and quality of the atrial fibrillation ablation program.
